Joe Durand has been an integral part of Trinity's family for 30 years, first joining the church on a friend's recommendation and connecting with then-Pastor Clapper through their shared interest in running. As Elder and Board Secretary, Joe brings years of diverse service experience to his role, having taught Sunday school with his wife Jan, served as an usher, participated in the prayer team, and completed several terms on the elder board. Joe and Jan, who were one of the first couples married by Pastor Clapper in December 1988, have three grown children—Jeanette, Jessica, and Jon—all of whom are actively serving the Lord in their respective churches. They are also blessed with five grandchildren. What Joe loves most about Trinity is the strong sense of unity that develops whenever the congregation gathers, along with the church's welcoming atmosphere and diverse community. An avid fitness enthusiast, Joe stays active by swimming, cycling (logging an impressive 4,300 miles this year), and enjoying weekly walks with friends.
