Note from Pastor Joshua to Bible260 Participants

Greetings to the hundreds of you who are participating in Bible 260 this year!

I want to commend you for making it a priority (I had to use that word since we're in a series, entitled, "PRIORITIES!") to get into God's Word. I'm already anticipating the testimonies of how God's Word is going to transform lives. I heard dozens of testimonies of that happening last year - during our NT260 initiative. In fact, I wanted to share one such recent testimony with you:

"I cannot believe I (we!) just read the ENTIRE new testament!! What!?!? If I had been told a year ago that I would do this, I would've laughed. It's just unbelievable to me!

Thank you for gently encouraging me to be a part of this.

What a difference a year makes. I have many more questions now than I did at the beginning of 2022, but I think that's okay, and I trust that the Holy Spirit will continue guiding me in the right direction. Reading the Bible has become important to me, and I think that's awesome!

Thank you, everyone, for being so kind and supportive to me as a newbie to the Bible. Actually, I guess I'm an ex-newbie now???😉

Many of you have asked whether I will be writing reflections this year. I won't be writing them on a daily basis, but I will be sending out reflections (and resources that I think will be helpful) periodically. You'll be receiving one next week, so keep your eye out for it.

My prayer for us, as we read God's Word, is that we will be able to say to the Lord, with David, "Your Word is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold" (Psalm 119:72).

May God do His work as we read His Word - for His glory and our good!

joshua
