Weekly Update - December 6

  • This week's update includes invitations to serve, pray, and celebrate, let's get to it.

Sure, the snow looks pretty, but a slippery sidewalk could wreck someone's Sunday morning.

That's why our Snow Removal Team shows up early on snowy Sundays, making sure everyone can safely make it into church. And right now, we're looking for a few more early birds to join the team.

It's pretty simple - you'll work alongside experienced team members for about two hours, clearing sidewalks and entryways before services begin. And yeah, while most people are still sleeping, you'll be part of this behind-the-scenes crew that helps keep our church family safe.

No previous snow-shoveling experience is required - just a willingness to serve and the ability to wake up early on snowy mornings.

Next, I met with folks from the Global Ministries Team this week, and they're excited about a new opportunity for you to pray for our ministry partners around the world.

From South Bend to South Asia, these faithful servants are providing teaching and counseling, training new leaders, planting churches, and providing medical care, all in the name of Jesus. But sometimes, it's hard to know how to pray for them or what challenges they're facing in the field.

We want to change that. Tap here to browse through our ministry partner profiles, and choose the ones that touch your heart. When you sign up, you'll receive regular updates right in your inbox.

Your prayers make a real difference for you and for those partners in the field. Join us in supporting this Kingdom work around the world.

Christmas Eve is right around the corner! We’ve had some questions about what things will look like this year, so I want you to remember 3-2-1. We’ve got three services…2:30, 4, and 5:30 pm. Two styles of music…modern at 2:30 in the gym, and traditional at 4 and 5:30 in the sanctuary.

3…2…1. No matter which service you come to that day you’ll hear the same message, all about Jesus.

So, 3 services, 2 styles, 1 message. One more quick note about Christmas Eve, childcare will be available only during the Modern Service at 2:30.

So, figure out which service you'll attend, and be thinking about who you might invite to sit with you.

Time for me to go get warm. I'll see ya Sunday as we continue our journey in Romans 8 and hear an update about Operation Christmas Child.
